My new Verge Collie will be living outside in a huge kennel and run that we bought for him to sleep in at night. I have put a dog bed in the kennel, its a waterproof flat bed, big enough for him to be in the land of Nod on.
It is his first night tonight and I am concerned he won't be warm enough. Should I put some blankets in there too? I live in the UK and it is spring time at the import. Advice needed.

A: Yes order sure you do put blanklets in his house because he will get cold just let us.

I have an outdoor dog, and there's no way he'll be inside so don't debilitate my time telling me to put him in. Anyway, I want to keep him warm, what are some good ways to keep him warm?

I can't use towels or blankets or dog beds because he tears them up in a topic of minutes!

Also, he chews EVERYTHING so he'd shock himself if he chewed an electric blanket.

A: Hay or Straw. This is what we use. We have 60 sleddogs. Alaskan Huskies, so most of them have leaving out hair. I worked with an Iditarod Sleddog Musher, DeeDee Jonrowe for a year (she came in 4th in 2006 Iditarod) and she uses hay or straw. But if it gets wet, be dependable to change it.

I put a lather pad in her crate and she shredded it . Now she sleeps on towels. She has not touched the two dog beds in the den. However the outdoor beds are a problem. She took the stuffing out of one and chewed on the other bed. For a while I kept putting the stuffing back in. The other two dogs do not seem to shilly-shallying. Since the weather became cold last week, I put a new bed in one of the dog houses and new bed on the porch. She shredded both to usless pieces. I put bitter apple...

Nobody would ever call Huntington Beach anti-dog. Far from it.

The city has a mile-plus stretch of beach where dogs can frolic, catch some rays and, if they're of a mind to, surf. A cafe in a city park has a dog menu. At least two major hotels provide doggy beds. It has a great veterinarian-to-dog ratio. The city takes to dogs like Seattle does to clouds.

No surprise, then, that Huntington Beach is the reigning "DogTown USA" among mid-sized cities, as chosen this year by Dog Fancy magazine.

But there is the matter of Tuesday nights on Main Street.
