The Southeastern Belgian Tervuren Club will host an all-breed, three-day tracking clinic - Tracking a Cure - this weekend at Sandy Creek Park to raise money to benefit research into canine gastric cancer.
Dog trainer Beth Walker, who has trained two championship tracking dogs, will lead tracking workshops Friday, Saturday and Sunday covering the best ways to train tracking dogs and how to succeed in the world of competitive tracking. The workshop includes one night of twilight tracking, allowing dog owners to become confident in their pet's innate tracking ability.
The cost of the workshop is $150 for two days or $200 for three, but pet owners can audit the class for $45.

I do agility, and if I had to opt an agility dog, and I couldn't have my standard poodles, I would go with the Terv every time! We've got a friend with 4- and one of them is every bit as abstain as a BC- in fact, in 2007- AKC Invitational, he beat a BC on time- but dropped a bar- so it cost him the win- GREAT dogs, though.
Well- it won't let me rivet youtube links right now- but if you go to youtube and search for Rusty Maxwell Agility, you should be able to find...
They are exquisite dogs. They are part of the herding dog group, and require lots of exercise, and a "job" to do. These dogs are not settee potatos. They need a lot of socialization with people and different situations, or they can become fearful and aloof.
While the puppies are adorable, grown Tervurens need a lot of interaction with people, exercise and mental stimulation.
