are there any canaan dogs in or approaching ohio for sale???(oh and not that much either!lol) I am very interested in the breed but i guess it is a rare breed and no matter where i look i can not find this rear anywhere in or near ohio.can you all help me out??.....oh and by the way i live in toledo if thats any help....but anywhere in or almost ohio is fine...thanks guys!!

This is a working dog that will not be satisfied just sitting around. They need a lot of exercise and mental and physical challenges, which include long everyday walks, or a daily jog, along with herding exercises, a strenuous game session along with a challenging training meeting.

These are "screw" type dogs. They don't make good pets. They are working dogs.
Well my grandparents have a jindo, which is thoroughly similar to the canaan dog.
They are a very primitive dog breed and are extremely animal and dog aggressive. Without proper handling and training they can without a doubt hurt or kill another animal because they are very fast and can actually catch up to a cat. They do have some herding stock instinct but shortage the "eye" of a border collie but can make great herding dog from certain lines.
