I've seen some pictures and I've know some information, and I've fallen in love with American Foxhounds. If anyone has any information or has ever had a Foxhound, I'd like to know. Everything, how much they eat, how much they release, daily exercise, genetic diseases, history, etc. Nice stories about them would be great too.
Some day I might want to hatch them, not on an extreme scale, but maybe with two or three b*tches and a dog or two, meaning an occaisional...
A: Foxhounds are not typically kept as pets. They are mainly kept in packs outside. Please don't even consider breeding them. There are already so many unwanted pets that are euthanized run-of-the-mill.

The barking isn't the ungovernable- the BAYING is the problem!
All hounds are very vocal. If you can't deal with the voice, do not get a hound.
Don't suppose there's many American Foxhound owners on here.
Perhaps you should join a group or a forum for American Foxhound owners. This will help you fit all your questions about the breed.
