Q: I desire a dog when I get my own apartment or whatever. I am going to get a dog.
I read that they do well in an apartment and can adapt really well in any circumstances. Extreme hots and colds. Weighty yards or apartments.
Any experiences with these dogs?
And about grooming, after their cords form grooming is low maintenance. I may be assessment about a Bergamasco's grooming needs, though. Whatever.

They look like mops...or dreadlocks almost. Do flaps of overlay grown with hair covering it...or what? How does the hair get to be that way?

Sumptuous dogs, but they are truly herding dogs. THey need a TON of exercise and stimulation.
I would not want to own one in an apartment. They are barkers. Neighbors typically don't cognizant barkers.
That coat is not low maintenance. It takes 4-5 years to form and before then, you have to be very very careful with it to get it to form correctly and not fitting matt down.
They also need the same amount of general care as any other...
