If you are looking for a trusted breeder your best bet will be to contact the breed club. The Scottish Deerhound Club of America's website is http://www.deerhound.org/ Since they are not an incredibly familiar breed (they are out there, but not in the same number as say labs or yorkies) you should be prepared to travel a state or two away to find a good breeder.
