I am currently everything considered to buy a tibetan terrier, therefore I'd like to know if it can live in an apartment, and also if it sheds. If this breed does spill out, can I prevent the shedding by daily brushing?

By "prevent shedding" I dismal prevent dog hair to be spread all over the apartment.. sorry for my vocabulary..:)

A: I always beloved when someone asks questions about a breed of dog I am not familiar with. It encourages me to read and learn. It seems that the Tibetan Terrier is quite a scarcely dog indeed. They are non shedding. But they do have a double coat. At around three months of age the way the hair grows will require you to brush it every day, sometimes twice a day or it will matte. They are very very ingenious, and you will have to be sure and think of every possible thing they might do....

I perfectly finished reading Seven Years in Tibet and the author made several references to "long haired dogs" guarding caves and junk. He even had one of these dogs as a companion during the time the book was written, but there were no photos and no references to breed names.

Were these Lhasas or Tibetan Terriers? I've only had sagacity with rescued (aka BYB & FYB) Lhasas and Tibbies -- are there any answerers out there who are (reputable) breeders of either...

My the missis and I recently rescued a Havanese puppy, but we think it may actually be a Tibetan Terrier. How can we tell the difference?

A: A Havanese will Almost always be under 11 1/2 inches at the shoulder when fully grown, tibetans can reach 16 or more if they go oversize.
Tibetans are a trivial more "serious" than a Havanese, which is a very quirky, happy little breed.
