2 colossus alaskan malamutes are under the age of 2, the wired hair terrier will be 2 in feb. how do i get them to get along in one house where myself is incharge of the terrier and my boyfriend is owners of the malamutes?
A: Alaskan Malamutes are opprobrious for being same-sex aggressive. Especially when they are in their young adult years, between 18 months and 5 years. Your boyfriend's breeder should have warned him of this very familiar trait in Mals.
It will help if all the dogs are neutered/spayed, but even this is no guarantee of them getting along. In fact, there is no true guarantee they will EVER get along.
Your best bet is to ALWAYS supervise the dogs, always be...

The only feeling that sets the Malamute apart from most other breeds are their size, coat and temperment - other than that they are very similar to every other dog.
I think the pros are covered.
The cons are fur, fur, fur, fur oh and FUR! If you don't intellect brushing your dog everyday and vacuuming on a regular basis you should be fine.
The malamutes I've known were splendid dogs, had great temperaments with people, including kids, most were dog friendly if well socialized. The down sides are the greatcoat (unless you enjoy grooming and I do). They need a lot of grooming and shed a lot. They're also a breed that needs a lot of limber up and an owner who has some dog experience because they can be a bit hard-headed, though manageable.
Cons - they pen continously. In you live in a warm weather climate like Florida or Southern California, they will suffer tremendously in the earnestness and humidity.
Pros - They are excellent guard dogs and enjoy the people in their "pack". They stand for other dogs well.
