Do not buy from a pet trust in, they are puppy mill puppies. Puppies can't be left alone for long periods of time. They are more expensive than an older dog. So a puppy might not be the master thing for a college student. Try looking up Beagle rescue in the state you are in and you might find an older housebroken one. But they necessity a lot of exercise so be ready to walk them a lot.

If he's staying in a dorm or apartment, redecorate sure they allow pets.
Also, make sure he has the time to care for this dog. This is a long term commitment. Make amends move aside sure your boyfriend can and is willing to put the time and effort into caring for a dog for the next ten years or so.
What if you two break up? Does that malicious that the dog will wind up in a shelter?
Try to explore all possibilities before either of you decides to take...

He should not have a dog until he graduated from college. Part of being a grown-up is shrewd when to wait for the things you want. A college student does not have the time or financial resources to disquiet for a dog. Beagles are high energy dogs that BARK and DIG and RUN!!!! They are not stuffed animals and require a lot of care and duration. If you are going to be in classes, working, and going out with friends (yeah, I was in college once too and know all about the amount of time...

NEVER NEVER get a puppy from a pet department store - you will pay too much for a lower quality pet... only get them from breeders or adoption like SPCA or beagle rescue
if you are not present to be home alot DONT get a puppy - get a more settled adult dog

make sure you have permission for pets where you actual - ideally no dog should be in an apartment unless their is a yard.

NEVER get anyone a suprise pet.. NEVER get a pet if you have limited funds...

Beagles honey to hunt and roam around in the woods. Get a small female is best. They have a distinctive bark and howl. Not overpriced dogs unless have long hair. Short hair breeds are the best. Hardly any sheeding and passionate companions, love kids and everyone. Loves to smell outside odors. Males will lift leg anywhere, females are not so confident or care. Very loyal and will protect owner till death!

Expensive is the Blood line of the uncontaminated breed beagle....

First, you distress to make absolute certain that dogs are allowed at the college/apartment that you and he are going to be living at. Most college dorms don't tolerate pets and a lot of apartments don't either. They are small dogs so they don't cost too much. They are fine in an apartment as covet as you give them an outlet for their energy (a daily long walk). Be warned, if a Beagle gets bored they will Bellow and/or dig. But they are sweet, loving merry little hounds. Don't...
