My New Zealand mate knows almost nothing about dogs - except that she wants one. She lives out of state, so I can't help her at all. She is considering a Griffon (someone is giving one away - I have no end why) and her kids are 6 and 7. Does this breed do well with children? I don't know much about them. I have big dogs myself and chose the breeds because they are advantage with my kids. Help!
A: Most breeds are ok with kids as protracted as the children are gentle. However, I would be wary of anyone with small children purchasing a dog that stays so small. But her kids plunge like they're older. However, it all depends on the dog.
Your friend needs to do some SERIOUS research. This is a committment for the next dozen yrs or so. People who "fall short of a dog but know almost nothing about them" and then run out and get the first one that looks cute are...
