I have a two year old miniature schnauzer who's a finished brat. I dont know if all schnauzers are as hyper as he is. He can be sweet some times, but most of the time you can picture him as a 3 year old race loose around the house. He's wild! But I cant get rid of him. He's cuteness has won me over.

For our next dog, we desire to get a bigger breed because they are usually better with kids. All the miniature schnauzers my family has ever had have been terrible with kids, no matter if they've been raised with kids or not.
I actually like the schnauzer's intelligence and ease of training, personality, and not to mention, they're beneficial lookin' dogs!
So, are standard or giant schnauzers better with kids?

A: Miniature Schnauzers have been bred for a more "manual" temperament, while Standards and Giants still have more of a "working" temperament.

None of them put up very well with kids who don't compliments their boundaries, and can be snappy.

Of the two, I'd look more into Giants than Standards, simply because I think there are more Giants out there and I judge they may have been bred a little more away from the "working"...

I have been reading on the internet that two puppies from the same litter can never go prerogative.

I am getting these two scnauzer puppies both male. one is more dominant then the other, and i am planning on using seperate crates for them and clicker instruct them separatly.
