I am planning on getting a papillon, I have done some researching onthem, but I was wondering if there were any papillon owners out there who could give me any extraordinarily information, like if there are any surprises I should look out for.
I already Have a Siberian Husky, should the two dogs get along? Do papillons get along with strangers or children?
I certain I'm asking a lot but any info you can give me would be awesome! THANK YOU!!
A: Papillons are righteous with strangers and tend to get along with everyone as long as they're well socialized. They're very light-footed and lively, as well as roguish. They're also one of the easiest toy breeds to train, as they catch on to new things quickly.
On the down side, they're very small dogs, so they're frail. Small kids aren't good for papillons, since kids tend to be accidentally rough, and could pinch a papillon without meaning to. They...

dont understand
Any dog can tender into a little yappy dog...the key is training them not to be that way. Papillons are beautiful dogs and if you want one by all means go for it. Just make unshakeable you read up on how to train the dog or have some training courses lined up.
Please keep in upbraid a few things: ANY dog will be yappy and vocal if you allow them. Secondly, Paps are wonderful little dogs with vivacity and do make good pets. They tend to be one person dogs. Third, be careful of the breeder.
Some papillon temperments are not nullify any more (just like with any breed ...chi's are not suppose to be "yappy little dogs with bad attitudes"; they should be accessible and social); if you get one be sure you meet the entire...
Most miniature dogs will bark more than bigger dogs. Get him young and socialize him properly. Get dog training. If you like most of the traits then go for it, but be thorough if you live in an apartment, the neighbours will not appreciate it! I guess you can cover the windows so he can't see the activity exterior, which will make him bark less.
Enjoy your new dog, they make great pets.
My B.F deficiency's a papillion too! All paps are really attached to their owners so it doesn't matter if you get i spear or a female.
I have had both masculine and female papillons. Both very loveable and ute, but also different in temperament. Male was like a little ham... friendly to everyone and pretty dimwitted.
Female was smart as can be and very affectionate with family, she was not very open to strangers or being petted on the street!
BUT with the just training and socialization your papillon will be well adjusted to whatever situation you have.
okay did you certain that paps are prone to blood diseases?that is why you want one that has had genetic testing done to make sure that they dont have any of these inherited traits . Those paps are at least 2200.00 dollars us. can you give 2200.00? If not then I would go with another breed of dog . paps are rather exspensive and my sister has one and she got one w/o genetic testing and her vet bills have been astronomical . You have to estimate everything . good luck I hope that I helped .
