or any other genre of Setter,English or Gordon Setter?
so not a dog for a bachlor to leave at home while you go to work.
A: You can have a job and still have a Setter. I have an English Setter (13 months old). While Setters are VERY running dogs outdoors, they tend to be couch potatoes inside. My dog will run all day outside, play and roughhouse with the other dogs, and amble us until we can't walk anymore, but as soon as we come in the house, he's up on the couch and right to forty winks. They don't need constant activity, just make sure they get the physical and mental toil that they need...

I old to have an Irish setter cross, and he was a lovely dog. However, he needed lots of exercise, and most people are not willing to commit to that. (Decent my opinion)
There were only 66 litters that were AKC registered born in the without a scratch US in 2007 and 68 born in 2006 of Irish Setters.
go to petfinder.com because you can look the beget up there and see that alot of them are in shelters. i am gonna adopt one pretty soon.
The Irish Setter continues to be at composed with families who spend time at home, and who also enjoy outdoor family activity.
Actually, the AKC registered 400 litters of Irish setters in 2006, a outrage decline from 2005.
The Irish Setter is the 75th most popular of breeds--just above the Welsh Terrier
