I exist in a small province in Argentina and I have to say that we don't have too much products for dogs in our vets, but I've seen on the net some boots and I might get them but I'm not sure it will help my dog. She has a hip dysplasia, and though she can promenade well she has trouble standing up on the ceramic floor, so I was wondering if anyone has tried this neoprene boots, and if they indeed work. Thanks a lot for your answers, and conscience-stricken for my english!
I do...
A: I'm not steady how boots could possibly help this (they are designed to protect the paws in rocky terrain and rescue people will not use them because they lower traction) but another food additive that I'm using on my near 16 German Shepherd Dog mix is fish oil capsules (my vet also recommended it in into the bargain to glucosimine/condroiten). At some point, pain medication will be needed (and it is rather expensive). There are also straps nearby that allow you to safely lift the...

Yes I have. I have dogs that wear boots, especially my boxer.
At first she walked like a horse, now she's very comfortable with
them on.
The ONLY fortuity I have ever had was getting a dog to wear ONE due to an injury to a certain pad. And he didn't so much WALK in it as he did hold it up and hop.
I don't notion of they like them. I can see the point for Sled dogs, but for the average dog..no. It is sad that they sell them as a fashion acc. and people MAKE the bad dogs wear them. Usually the same people that would NEVER let the dog WALK outside. So if you carry it...why would it need sneakers???
Yes, on bird dogs in west Texas. The sand burrs are so bad that they can't boardwalk without them.
My stuff has this little toy dog. It wears boots and a coat to go outside. (its -27 right now not counting the wind)
I have reach-me-down them on my hairless crested.. he wore them more when he was younger.. at first he hops around, but he eventually got used to them and would hustle around on the sidewalk.
He's not quite so fussy about walking in the snow now, but I still use them when the temps are extreme.. and I take them with us in the car in the winter, so in at all events we break down or something, I have something extra to help keep him warm.
My dogs will weary them if we are hunting an area where the burs are bad. If they get a burr into the pads they can not walk and it can cut them up pretty bad so we d ooccasionally use dog boots.
They are not troubled by them much but propose not to wear them unless needed.
my chihuahua terreir is good getting use to them.. she first walked around like a drunk.. but has gotten better.
I have had some happy result, after they get over the indignity of them away they go, just be careful as to what you get, the ones that are vinyl on the bottom can be very slippery, we get a lot of ice where I live so I don't like these ones, and certify sure they stay on, nothing worse than searching the snow banks for a missing dog boot.
