My Archetype Poodle gets traumatized (I think I would, too) by the loud & penetrating noise of the "power dryer" at the groomers.
Do you mark it would work to put foam ear plugs in her ears after the bath? I once asked a groomer to not use a power dryer, only a quieter one. I could do that again, but there are at least 8 other dogs being groomed while mine is there.
A: you can specifically put in for that they use a 'box dryer' on your dog. They place the dog in a holding crate and put a much lower power hair dryer blowing over them. It will take a LOT longer for her to dry though.
Most dogs that act to a force blower are not upset by the noise, but the force of the air all over. It feels like a hard jet of water almost when it is on elaborate. It is strong enough to put an animals eye out if used incorrectly. I have seen cruel and...

scarcely like anything else use it frequently and eventually the dog will get used to it
only keep trying to get it used to it even when not grooming it!
Hi,
I have neonate Yorkshires at home and I just put the hair dryer on warm not hot it will irritate there skin and cause dryness/itching.
While you expand the puppies hair use your other hand and pet/comfort /scratch him while telling him he's a good boy/girl then evenly use your brush/comb and groom.
They will forget the noise and relax a little and then get used to it. They are so happy when there done.
Careful luck!
the beat way is to start when they are really young and do your hair at the same time and gently do theirs and make it a game and reserve for them
don't do it. using a mane dryer on a dog's hair strips it of its natural protective oils. not to mention, the noise level is unsafe to their sensitive ears. if you think your dryer is loud, then what do you think it sounds like to an animal that has hearing that is far more reactive than yours? towel dry your pup as dry as you can, then leave it to air dry the rest of the way.
At most do it.
A lot of dogs react to the dryer when we use it for the first time, but we persevere and keep going, usually by the time the dog is dry it has settled down, if not it usually is employed to it by the second or third groom. Even if not, just keep drying, you're the one in charge not the dog. Just smile sweetly and disregard the jumping/squirming/screaming/hissyfit/whatever. Your dog WILL get over it.
You started it na so that's a plus. You might want to let it get aquainted with this noisy thing by letting pup examine and look it over while off, of lecture. It isn't just the noise, it is the object (dryer). Then turn on low and let pup get use to that, without blowing on the pup. Let the "newness" of the dryer become less horrifying in a very non-threatening manner.
Keep drying sessions short as possible at first by towel drying much as possible. Drudgery...
