I insufficiency to buy a dog house for my future dog that will live primarily outside. I would preferr it to be insulated and under $200.

I am researching this myself, I would just like to get some recomendations, opinions, rewiews or anything that might usurp me.
I will be getting a medium sized dog most likley. But, I am still not sure.

A: Figure a regular uninsulated dog house. Add 2" thick foam panels inside the walls, roof and whip. On the inside surface, cover the foam with cheap 1/4 inch plywood. I like dog houses with a deflated roof. it gives the dog a dry place to rest outside when the ground is wet or muddy. It also makes construction simpler. A: he won't get bored if you put in time with him when you are home. he may be bored while you're gone, but will likely sleep much of the day (I think that's what my dogs do, but I'm not really positive!)
