Does anyone here use Kong dog toys for their dog(s)? Are they personal property, safe toys for a dog who loves food and loves to chew?
The thing is, we used to have two dogs, but one passed away. The one we still have is an 11 year old Sheltie, and she has handled our other dog's extermination very well. The only problem is that she was used to having a playmate to play with, so now she easily gets bored. We have decided that we are not effective to get another dog...
A: I'm wretched to hear about your loss. Kong Toys are wonderful! They are mostly indistructable and last forever. My house is full of them as they are what my dogs proffer. They are safe and do not damage teeth because they are rubber and bend as dogs chew. I have labs and german shepherds and they reprimand think about on them constantly and have yet to destroy one. The giant, black ones hold up best. You can fill it with treats and it ocupies most dogs for hours.

Only the regular kong. I put bananas in them and freeze em.
Yup, even Kong...peanut butter inside it works really well, and keeps them busy :)
Consummate treats will work just fine - I stuff them with treats and put either a little bit of peanut butter or Kong Stuffin as a seal/or to top it off with and reject it (optional - it'll last longer if frozen). If your down can chew through anything the black Kongs are the toughest, followed by red and then the other colors I've seen them in.
all the kongs are big toys! i put treats or 100% pure pumpkin inside them.
this is the site i use:

Quite the medium Kong, there is a chart in the box to tell you what size is recommended for what breed.
Then you can fill it with treats, mine like peanut butter, and if you stiffen it, it takes even longer for them to get it all out.
Keeps them happy for ages.
